I am an EMT and my boots are the difference between a feeling great and a sore back/knees. I took some advice and ordered them a half size smaller and they fit perfect. I was tired of buying boots every six months because they were falling apart. And I was tired of feeling a heavy shift days later. A friend of mine told me to try out the workhogs. I bought them a year ago and I could not be happier. I feel solidly planted when I am lifting and moving patients. My back and knee pain is 100% completely gone. They shine up beautifully. And I get complements on them everyday. I have recommended them to coworkers but unfortunately you guys do not make them in black anymore. It would be nice to get them black on black for our uniforms.
I bought these boots back in early December after hearing good things about the Ariat brand. I decided to go out and spend the money on a decent pair of boots (previously worked in $85 Justin Boots) only to be met with disappointment. These boots are worn 40 hours a week and after only a couple of months the toes already have holes in them. Besides the holes in the toes these boots hurt my feet! I come home almost every day with blisters on my heels.... I think the only 2 pros I have are these boots are great at keeping my feet dry when we get those heavy Texas rains; and these boots provide great grip when walking on slippery surfaces. Now I am not saying these are horrible boots for everyone they just are not the boots for me. Better luck next time I guess.
All though the boot fits perfect and looks great. The durability is really not what I expected in a work boot. I am just a service tech, Imnotdoing anythingsupercrazy with them. the leather onthe tip hasalreadystripped down to the metal toe, the sole has split. these boots are five months old. Im really just not satisfied at all. Ariat does make a hell of a boot but the work hog is not one of them. Its more a work less boot. Thank you for your time, Regards Todd Cossey
