Style # CLASSIC_CHAP_III_W_M_FOOProtection and authority of a tall boot with the ease and comfort of a half chap. Soft full-grain leather doesn't restrict, and the breathable, moisture-wicking lining keeps things cool. The subtly-padded inner panel has been updated for optimal fit, and the topline has a beautiful finish to complete the look. This unisex chap goes great with any Ariat paddock boots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by sarbear from They’re Pretty They are excellent I must say, very firm fitting. I love the hold it has on my calf down to the bottom of my laces on my Performer Pro VX shoe’s. The only issue I would have with this product is the calf fit. It’s quite tight and slightly uncomfortable to ride it. Maybe due to the calf measurement and maybe could make it bigger but then again I have no clue. I tried leather stretch on this product, didn’t ruin it but didn’t do what I wanted. This is my reasoning on the four star rating. Other then that it would be a five star rating cause they are gorgeous and very formal to wear even when I train in them. This product has most aquentences, friends, and family commenting them which makes me feel even better to wear this product. I say try them, don’t like them how I do return them (which I highly doubt you will) Happy Shopping Everyone(:

Rated 4 out of 5 by dressagegirly from Nice chap, runs wider than other models I tried the Kendron, Close Contact, and this Classic III half chap. These run wider, so I would have needed an MS size. The LS size that was the correct size in the other two was loose and floppy on me. If you have large calves that are difficult to fit, this one may be for you! I found the height to be comparable to the Close Contact that I kept, so I don't agree with the couple of reviews that say these are shorter (at least not compared to the Close Contact in the same size). These look beautiful from the side view. They look a bit bulky from the front view, which I think was partially because they were too big for me and partially due to the size zip/velcro flap. Nice chap if you get the right size, though not as soft and fancy material as the other two upper tier models I tried.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MCat from Looks professional, works well I bought these as my first pair of leather half-chaps two months ago. I had gone through several pairs of the cheaper, washable half-chaps. The Classic III is a nice compromise between the more expensive leather styles and the cheap fabric chaps. The quality here is certainly well worth the price. I had my chaps fitted by a professional, who recommended this style because she said they tend to run a little shorter. (I'm 5'1 and would normally wear an SS in other Ariat half-chaps. I bought the Classic IIIs in an S.) At the initial fitting, they rested slightly over my knee and felt very tight. I could not get them on without her help. However, just like with tall boots, as leather half-chaps break in, they stretch out and "fall" down. After a couple of rides, these chaps fit perfectly! I school in these chaps about 3x/week, and they are holding up very nicely. They look professional enough that I feel comfortable wearing them on our local show circuit. In fact, the interior leg panel (which is made of suede, I think) provides a better grip than my tall boots, so I prefer to ride in these. My only complaint is that the material on the interior leg panel has been dirtied up from the saddle and is difficult to get clean. I would love for Ariat to provide some cleaning tips! Of course, since the panel is not visible while riding, the chaps still look brand new while I'm in the saddle and still work perfectly, so the Classic III gets a five star in my book!

Rated 5 out of 5 by CNiche from Amazing Half-Chaps! I bought these chaps well over a year ago, and they have been ridden in 2-3x a week for the past year. They still look almost brand new, and they hold up so well! I found that they did stretch quite a bit, so when fitting make sure they are as snug as you can handle! I will be back to buy a new pair when it's time!

Rated 2 out of 5 by MattO from Classic III half chap Got these in a MT with an eye to replacing my older Cameo half chaps. 1. They are a full 3 inches shorter than the Cameos and so don't come close to making it to my knee. 2, comparing the quality of the leather, not nearly as substantial as the Cameos and 3. There is no heel strap to secure the lower end of the velcro tab. Have been riding in Ariat products for years but these are not to the same standard as in the past.
