How To Fit Half Chaps

In this video, Keir shows you how to fit half chaps for women; you'll want to make sure they fit tight and secure. When measuring for your half chaps, it's important to wear something that's representative of what you wear when you ride such as your breeches, your socks, and your boots. To get your measurements, first sit in a straight chair with your feet flat on the ground and bend your legs at a 90-degree angle. Have another person measure your calves for the greatest accuracy and be sure the measure the widest part of your calf. For height, measure up from the floor up to the bend in the back of your knee. Remember, have someone help you for greatest accuracy. When you first wear your half chaps, they should fit snug across your calf and high across the back of your knew. Over time they will give and drop slightly.
