Rated 5 out of 5 by Vince from Took a beating I bought my first pair of these in march on 2013. After 10 months of extremely rough use they are still holding strong. I work in the wind turbine construction business, these boots have been subjected to rain, mud, snow, gravel, metal working platforms we refer to as "cheese grader", oh and by the way they went up and down 300 feet of ladder multiple times every day. Both the sole and the leather are in great shape aside from some very excessive scuffing! I just purchased another pair and look forward to abusing them as well! Great boot, very much worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by VermeerVagabond from unbelievable comfort from day 1!! I have owned 3 pairs of the ariat Mestenos and I'm on the market for a fourth. I work underground utility construction. Which basically means if I'm not kicking a spade shovel into the ground I'm climbing on and off of other excavating machines. On top of that the many times ive had them submerged in water/mud past my ankles, with viscosity altering chemicals in it. I can't imagine anyone putting these boots through more torture than I do. The only thing I have to say is take care of them. Clean them weekly. And depending on your environment, oil at least monthly. The only reason I buy a new pair every year is because coworkers are so impressed with them they offer to buy them from me. As long as Ariat makes the Mesteno model, these will be the boots on my feet at work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jbullock86 from Amazing boot I got this boot over 2 years ago and wear it everyday. I have been on construction sites from Baton Rouge to Michigan and this boot is my go to boot for any occasion. I keep the leather treated and although this boot isnt waterproof it takes the random rain storm or mud puddle like a champ. Never had wet feet wearing it. And it is the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. Time for a new pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bass player from Great looking and comfortable boot I bought this boot for my husband who works on concrete floor all day and has been having trouble with sore and painful feet at night. He wore them the very next day...all day and couldn't believe the difference. He said they are so comfortable and he is now pain free. Thank you!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Andy341 from Excellent, Comfortable boot I've purchased Ariat boots for the last 8 years now. I work in commercial construction. I've put these boots through rain, mud, concrete dust, snow, ladders, climbing scaffolding and walking across large job sites. They are incredibly comfortable, but the soles only last about 6 to 8 months. I would rate it a 5 if I could get more than a year out of these boots.

Rated 3 out of 5 by wannabngardiner from Comfort isn't everything I bought these to replace a pair of Rocky's that were wearing out for office wear. When I finally shelved the Rocky's the warranty was close to expiring on these. Three months later the U-Turn blew out on one of the uppers. While that doesn't effect what the boot is supposed to do, protect the feet, it is disheartening to have a relatively new boot that is damaged cosmetically. I still wear them daily but don't know that I will buy another pair of Ariats.
