FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • BOA® is a dial-based performance-fit system that ensures a precise, secure fit. BOA delivers dialed-in performance and a micro-adjustable, precision fit.
  • This award-winning technology has been used in snowboard boots, medical braces, cycling shoes, and lace-up boots for years, but Ariat is the first to integrate this technology into pull-on boots.
  • To “dial in” the BOA® Fit System, press in to engage the dial and turn clockwise to tighten until you have reached your desired fit.
  • When taking the boot off, pull up on the dial and the system will automatically loosen as you take your foot out of the boot.

The two styles feature different BOA® Fit System configurations and dials. The WorkHog XT Pull-On has internal lacing, with the dial on the back of the boot shaft. The WorkHog XT 8” Lace-Up features external lacing and has a dial at the top of the tongue.

  • Pull-on: The opening of the boot is wider than a regular WorkHog XT (or any other Ariat pull-on boot) because the BOA® dial enables you to tighten the fit of the boot in micro-adjustable increments.
  • Lace-up: Similar fit to other lace-up waterproof boots, especially the WorkHog XT 8” Side Zip
  • Pull-on: Pull up on the dial to ensure the system has been released then put your hand inside the boot and lift up on the instep to loosen the internal lacing.
  • Lace-up: Pull up on the dial to ensure the system has been released then then pull the tongue forward to loosen the lacing.
  • Pull-on: The dial.
