Meet Chester Weber’s Horse Para and His Rabbit Companion, Kainzi

Kainzi, a hefty black rabbit is known for being Chester Weber’s team companion mascot and stable mate to Para, a KWPN Dutch Warmblood on Team Weber.   The four lucky feet joined the team in the summer of 2011 at Altenfelden after making his way in Para’s stall and never leaving. After Chester and his team noticed a considerable difference in Para’s temperament, (Kainzi helps to keep the gelding calm at competitions), they decided he would join the group.

It was love at first sniff for Para and Kainzi , the two share food, water and sleeping quarters both at home and at competitions. Kainzi is an international traveler (even has his own passport!); he travels to nearly all the shows around the world to be with Para.

Para, one of Chester key driving horses, is certainly one of the most expressive horses in the program. Para is currently a member of the top team in both the left and right wheel. His extreme gates and powerful hind end has enabled him to find his way in to the wheel on both sides at the top competitions. In the summer of 2008 he made his international debut in Riesenbeck where he aided in stealing the show. He has extensive experience in the international single sport with many dressage wins to his credit. His strong cadence, extreme movement and expressive front end makes him stand out on any show ground. Moreover, his sensitive nature brings Team Weber the reliability necessary for the most consistent work. Para is a very friendly personality with a reliable nature.
