Rated 5 out of 5 by Brent S from Saved my feet I've been wearing these for over a year, everyday almost. I bought them because I'm on my feet all day. I was having lower back pain, knee pain, and just fatigue in general. I work more then I should. I decided my shoes were largely to blame because they didn't fit just right and they were worn out. I shopped around and tried on many shoes. Ultimately I decided on this boot although I wasn't 100% fond of the styling, it just fit right and felt good. Over a year later, to heck and back, I never questioned the decision to buy them. One of the best purchases I ever made, well worth the price and will happily buy them again and again! Make sure you get the right fit and I promise you will not regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nick5945 from Excellent workmanship - fabulous fit! I have two pairs of Ariat work boots that I wear daily and they fit better than any boot I have ever owned. So, this summer I am going hiking in the high Sierras and need good hiking boots and went to a number of stores. Nothing compared to my Ariat work boots. I would wear my work boots except that work boot soles are not intended for gripping on steep trails. I then looked on the Ariat site and found what seems to be a new model not available in stores. On reputation I ordered a pair and they fit even better than the work boots if that is possible. They also have a slight walking shape on the sole that give a little forward propulsion. The non-skid soles work great, the workmanship is superior, they are fully waterproof, have rugged lace loops and hooks that look like they are forged instead of sheet metal. I have been wearing them for over week now and no hot spots - nothing but super fit. I am a 10D with a high arch/instep and in the past have used Ecco Trek II boots but in my opinion they do not compare to the Mid GTX boots in fit or workmanship. Nick

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mofire54 from Maybe I have extra extra wife feet?? So when these came in I had to shake the box to make sure they were actually in the box!! Super lightweight! I did however run into difficulty from there!! So I tried them on and wammo too tight!! I ordered 11.5 wide and still too narrow. My toes fit beautifully, with even a bit of wiggle room, but the instep and out side were pretty tight. I called customer service and a very friendly lady helped me. She recommended using a boot stretcher as going up a size would leave too much room in the toe area. So inhave them on there now....so this is to be continued!! I'm excited!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by CRMS from I'm Amazed! I was really skeptical when I learned that Ariat makes a hiking boot, but I researched them anyway. I have flat feet and have endured 8 months of plantar fasciitis, so I have to have some serious stability. The ATS stability feature caught my attention and the reviews were intriguing. When a friend gave me a discount coupon, I decided to invest in the hype. My first surprise was that when I ordered them from Ariat.com on a Tuesday, they were on my doorstep 2 days later. Then my wife stashed them away and demanded I wait until Father's Day (I was out of town anyway). My first hike was a 10 miler with about a 2500' elevation gain that had destroyed a pair of name brand hiking shoes last year. Even just out of the box I forgot I was wearing them. At 4 miles, I thought to myself, "This is like hiking in my house slippers." At the end of the hike I had no blisters and my feet felt great. I was absolutely the happiest I have ever been with a pair of hiking boots. After 2 more fairly demanding hikes on rough trails, steep up and steep down, I am sold on Ariat. If I had known Ariat boots were this comfortable I would still be harassing livestock. Fit: true to size ( I did wear socks and liners) Pro: Comfort: 10 out of 10...Amazing Stability: 10/10 ..Impressive Traction: 9.5 Great up and down on fairly steep slopes. Con: Honestly? The gortex and all-leather were a bit warm for my Utah dry summer hikes. Still no blisters. I will watch for a non-gortex version, and maybe non-leather. Would I buy again? Absolutely!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Labman from Disappointed My previous experience with Ariat has always been excellent but this pair of boots did not meet their high standards. The stitching behind the top lace hooks on one side of the left boot caused a portion of the joined materials to be raised, resulting in rubbing, irritation and discomfort to the top of my ankle. The right boot was fine and very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gator Jeaux from Perfect Hiking Boots I put these boots to the test with a week-long adventure in the Eastern Sierras. From extreme heat to extreme cold, these boots kept my feet comfortable and dry. I trekked through broken branches, dirt, foliage, gravel, ice, rocks, sand, snow, and water. The boots were scratched, scuffed, and submerged in water on a number of occasions. Through all that, they held on strong and helped make for some great hiking experiences. The traction of the soles is perfect, and I walked through 10+ feet of snow with great confidence. The boots offer great support and don't cause any lace bite. They are lightweight enough to make jumping from rock to rock a fun activity when I feel adventurous. Trail running is hassle-free thanks to the flexibility of the boots. Western boots, work boots, and outdoor boots. Ariat does it all with perfection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MRAWIZ from Fit and feel like a soft glove. I needed a pair of reliable work boots for my golf course maintenance job. I tried on the Ariats and the fit and feel were spot on; soft inside, yet supportive in design. I examined over the boots and could see the built-in quality compared to other boots. It is a superior product, hands down.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Phil J from Not a wide fitting boot! I purchased the 11EE size. I had tried some standard width Ariat boots previously and found them to be a promising fit for wide feet, so I ordered a wide fitting expecting good results. Not so! This boot is narrow at the toe and I could not get the wide on my feet.
