The height of the summer brings the Pebble Beach Equestrian Classics. A tradition since 1947, now three weeks long and rated “AA,” classes range from Small Pony Hunters to powerful Thoroughbreds and Warmbloods barreling over huge fences in the Jumper Classes, trying to beat the clock.

Competitors come from all over the Western United States, Mexico and Canada. With a  $10,000 Lexus Jumping Derby and a $30,000 Grand Prix featured each week, crowds enjoy the excitement of watching some of the best horses and riders in the country compete. With charity luncheons, exhibitors parties, sponsored activities each weekend, a vendor tent pavilion featuring artwork, designer clothing and fine jewelry, there will be something for everyone in this 60th celebration of equestrian sports in Pebble Beach.

Based in upstate New York in the village of Saugerties, HITS produced its first horse show circuit in Gainesville, Florida in 1982. Since that time, HITS has grown into a nationwide company with world-class hunter/jumper circuits in California, Florida, Arizona, New York and Virginia.

Each July Las Amigas de Las Lomas, a volunteer support group of Orthopaedic Hospital, Los Angeles, holds an all-English rated Charity Horse Show as its primary fundraiser. This year our national Horse Show will be held July 11, 12 & 13 at Ernie Howlett Park in Rolling Hills Estates on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Our show draws exhibitors from all over California and many spectators from the surrounding areas. Admission is free. Our $9,999 Las Amigas de Las Lomas Grand Prix, held Sunday afternoon, features many outstanding Grand Prix riders from up and down the West Coast. Horse Shows by the Bay is a three week equestrian festival held annually in the picturesque resort area of Traverse City, Michigan, home to world-famous vineyards, beaches, cherry orchards, resorts, spas, casinos, restaurants & golf courses.

Highlights of the series include a $25,000 Show Jumping Grand Prix each week, $10,000 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Junior-Amateur Owner Jumper Prix, Young Jumper Classics, Hunter Classics, and the Zada Enterprises, LLC Dressage by the Bay shows. We are pleased to have hosted over 1200 horses at our new competition facility and presented over $350,000 in cash prizes and points for national awards. A new Grand Prix Arena and warm up will be added to our 4 existing competition rings this season.

Held during the last two weeks of July, the Oregon High Desert Classics feature two consecutive weeks of competition, running Wednesday through Sunday.  Each Classic draws professional and amateur competitors from all over the west and Canada and closes on Sunday with the Grand Prix competition, where the top horses and riders compete for purses up to $25,000.  Since its inception in 1990, this annual fundraiser has become a premier event for both riders and spectators.  Competitors enjoy a USA Equestrian A-Rated show on superb grass footing, while spectators enjoy the athletic skill of the horses and riders and a variety of food and shopping at vendor booths.
