How you got started in your event:My dad rode broncs, but I rode bulls and roped. My family hated me riding bulls. I decided to take up riding broncs and to go for the All-Around in HS and loved it so much that I quit everything else. My dad always wanted me to ride broncs.

Favorite Ariat product: Bronc Stomper Boots

Proudest career moment: 2005 was the first year I made the NFR. It was a dream come true.

Tell us about your first horse: A sorrel mare called Jelly Bean. She would never go faster than a trot, so while everyone else was loping, I was being shook to death.

You ride because: I love riding bucking horses. I enjoy it, and I can take my family with me everywhere. I believe it is the best job in the world.

Name one fun fact that people don’t know about you: The best pre-rodeo meal is Panda Express. If it is within a 40 miles radius I am going to find it.

Good luck charm: I always put my left boot on before my right, including socks.
