Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor fit I bought the terrain II half chaps to go with my terrain boots a little over a month ago. I was a bit disappointed that they were so tight around my ankle and both me and the girl at the store had such a hard time getting them closed. Very tight around the ankle and very loose around the calves. We tried the medium and then the large but the large was too bid so I ended up buying the medium thinking that maybe they would give a bit. Nope they feel just as tight and now the zipper is having trouble zipping on one chap. I've tried zipping with them on and off but it just doesn't want to zip. Maybe this pair is a defect? I don't know but what I do know is that for the price I expected a much better fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long Wearing, Comfortable and Rugged I loved the first version of these chaps and have been waiting in hopes that they go back to the original style which came down lower over the All Terrain boot to give a much more integrated and attractive appearance. In answer to some questions in the reviews: They are extremely comfortable. They are cool but wear like iron and never pile up around your ankles. I hike in mine for tick and bee protection.and the stirrup strap isn't even worn after years and miles of hiking and trail clearing. Mine began tight in the shaft and gradually conformed to the shape of my leg and boot. The zippers are exremely sturdy and it is a major convenience to zip from top to bottom. They fit over the All Terrain boot but not over my All Terrain H2O boot. They outlasted 3 pairs of All Terrain boots which I replace every year and I'm going to keep them going for another year in hopes that Ariat goes back to the original version. Another wish is that they would make this chap to fit over the All Terrain H2O boot! If that's what you are trying to do, go large.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Finally back! I bought the terrain shoes few year ago but got disappointed to don't find anymore the matching chaps. Although most endurance rider ride without half-chaps we are a few that can't without. Also very good for the long summer trekking on English saddle!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fit like a glove I've owned terrains for years as an endurance rider and found these matching half chaps. They fit like a glove and allow me to ride for hours with out any issue. Very pleased!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad sizing You'd think the terrain half chaps would work with terrain shoes. You'd be wrong. The ankles are way too tight to have anve a chance of working, Even with the calves being too big. Plus, way way too tall. I am 6 foot, and these half chaps were more like 3/4 chaps. would rub back of knee. Endurance riders arnt showing in an arena. Make some frigging endurance chaps, IE shorter and big enough around the ankle to actually work with endurance shoes.
