Rated 5 out of 5 by from IMPRESSIVE Being new to the Dressage world, after years of trail and pleasure riding, I decided 3 years ago, to treat myself to anice pair of paddockboots, and not bethe only personknown to mankind who rides Dressage incowboy boots (lol). I speciffically chose the Monaco, because of it's square toe (LOVE IT)...so, they arrived and immediately I was impressed with the shoe bag they came in (nice touch), and once I took them out of the bag, I was even more impressed by the leather quality and craftsmanship. These boots are VERY well put together, and I hoped that they would survive many years of being drilled by my trainer in the Dressage arena. The first time I wore them, there was no stiffness, no rubbed heel, nothing like that, they are so well padded in crucial area's that my tootsies were very happy, unlike the rest of my body after having to change everything I thought I knew about riding. Changing a discipline is not a easy thing, and now, here I am 3 years later, STILL wearing these boots and they are just as comfy as on day one. I school 3 days a week in these, and wear chaps, of course, BUT they have not faded, no rips or tears, no scratches, they are absolutely PERFECT. WELL WORTH the cost, and I decided to wait 3 years to write this review to really be able to tell you something about them...how long they last and how well they fit and so on...but at this point, I am afraid they will outlast me, because they are still looking like new, and the only thing I do, is clean, polish and use, use, use...you WILL get your money's worth out of these....and though I wish I would have bought the zipped ones, it is just a preference issue within myself and NOTHING badly reflected on these boots...I guess as I am getting older, I'm getting a bit lazy and bending down to tie shoes is not one of my favourite things to do. But please know that I have taken these boots through the ringer....3 years and counting....everything from arena riding, to trail riding, to pasture riding, in snow, heat, humidity, rain, you name it...I literally field tested them, and all I can say is ---IMPRESSIVE !! I give these boots 5 stars, NO QUESTIONS ASKED ! Oh, and not to mention, they look VERY nice :-) even after 3 years of abuse. Worth EVERY penny !Happy Trails ;-)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Finally! Thank you Ariat! I've been buying Ariat for at least 15 years. From the Heritage III to the Brossard to the Monaco with the heel zipper.I currently own 12 pairofAriatboots. I have an averagefoot with an average arch. I havefoundthe Ariat boots to fit well but in the past few years Ariat has let their boots slip in quality. The zippers slide down and I am constantly having to zip them back up. Th insoles squeak. I mean REALLY squeak. I've had to buy three sets of insoles from Walmart to help with this issue. But those Walmart insoles are hot...Okay, now to these boots. FINALLY! They got the zipper right, insole is more like a tall boot instead of the pull out style so there is no squeaking. This boot does fit slightly narrower than any Ariat I have worn but they will break in and not get sloppy like all the other Ariats I have.. It is pricy for a daily work boot but I no longer have to zip up those falling zippers and listen to that squeak in all my other ones!I would definitely recommend this boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm not a rider but I love these I got these as a hand-me down actually from someone who was a rider. I wear them just for the look and I get so many compliments on them, they're reallycuteand comfortable.I like how easy they are toget on/off because of the zipper! Totally recommend!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from If only they were the same... The right boot fit absolutely perfectly. But the other one was way too tight. In the toe area it seemed much more narrow. And it isn't thatmy feetarethatdifferent. Another person tried them onand experiencedthesame thing.
