Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor leather quality--cracks in a few months... Cannot recommend these boots. I bought two pair of these boots in the past year. Both pair have developed MAJOR cracks on the sides and top ofthe instep. One crack, aboutaninch long, has broken completely through. They've never been wet, and I take good care of my boots. I'm a casual senior hunt seat rider, so they don't get hard use. Took them to a boot/shoe repair, and they said they couldn't help--and noted the leather was a very poor quality. Ariat USED to make good boots. The fit and workmanship is still good, but they must be using cheap Indian leather now. Both pair are now in bad shape--unusable. Several of my riding friends have had the same issue. So sadly, won't be buying more Ariats...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Zipper Problems. I have had three pair of these (or their equivalent) the past 8 years. The comfort is exceptional. However, with eachpair, at least one,if notboth, boots' zippers wouldUNZIP within 10 to 15 minutes; Usuallyonlyhalfway down the front, sometimes completely. This was NOT due to jean legs or tack rubbing against them. The Saddlery refused to replace any of the three pair because: "It must be something you are doing as we have not had that complaint from any other riders." I should have written to Ariat but did not take the time to do so. My bad..... I do wonder if anyone else had this problem or if it truly was "just me"? I finally started securing the bottom of the "Slider" by putting a large safety pin at it's base.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy this boot - different than older version. Longtime Ariat boot buyer - never again. I've tried every paddock boot they produce now, and I can tell you they are totally different: theshape of thebootis narrow in thetoeand wide in the body, the stretchpanels are smaller and make the boot ankle tight. Used to be lined in soft leather - no more of that - it's synthetic seams that rub and cut your foot. What a disappointment - Ariat _used_ to make a good boot. Now - just cheap and ill-fitting at the same price their older great boots - What does that tell you? $$$$

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointing... I purchased these boots as my 1st pair of Ariats. They were used for casual wear, were never used in the barn (my horseis leased out..). Simplyworn towork, storeetc.I only had them for about 2 months when the zipper lost 3 teeth on one boot. Extremely disappointing considering the light wear they'd received. Other wise, they had been comfortable and stylish. I do agree with another reviewer who noted that the top of the boots is narrow and can be tight on your leg, and the toe box can be a bit narrow at the widest part of your foot.My local retailer was excellent about replacing my boots and I opted for a lace up pair rather than risking another shoddy zipper. Don't like the lace ups as much but so far a year in they've held up better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So pleased! I had been looking at these boots online. I finally went in to a saddlery and tried them on. I usually wear a 61/2 but had noticed that some people said Ariats can run abit large so I asked to try ona 6.PERFECTfit. They are so sharp looking that I wore them when we went out to dinner at a nice restaurant. - I ride western, yet there is no reason I cannot ride with these. (With or without half chaps). To anyone who is on the fence about these.....get them. They are better looking than some of the other brands they carried at the saddlery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots, can be worn by Men. I have small narrow feet for a guy so it's hard to find the right boots for riding. Impossible to find the right fit for Men's English TallBoots in theUS.Ihad to switchto half chaps and paddock boots. The only difference between men and women's paddock boots (at least for Ariat) is the width and price. So when I bought these at a local Saddlery shop they handed me women's width B. They're great boots, very comfortable, good for riding, fit like a glove. Good quality leather, sturdily built and supporting. I highly recommend them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't believe the tech. and price!!! My Kroop paddock boots purchased way back in the day at WEF in Wellington were starting to look as old as the sport ofriding and a sole waswearing throughthe sole. The Ariatsare so much betterdesigned scientifically and use technology (riding is a sport!). I can't say enough good things about them. And, they are so much less than my Kroops...its too much to think about. And, Ariat replaces soles and work pieces for free forever...wow. Love them. And my back, knees and feet are saying "finallY!!"

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish and functional Love these boots! A very comfortable shoe for standing long periods of time, protects and covers my toes nicely and also really stylish andedgyfor mylineof workas a freelance makeup artist/hairstylist. It fits very snug around the ankle, so make sure you are wearing socks high enough or tights to protect the skin around that area, otherwise it will chafe, but I'm sure it is snug to prevent debris from getting in your shoe if you use it for riding or outdoors. Otherwise, a great investment!
