Excellent half-chaps

After using my original Ariat half-chaps for over 10 years (!!!) I finally needed to get new ones. I bought two this time so I would have a backup.



I found that the calf fits a bit tighter than the size chart would lead me to believe. I ordered a small, but needed to return it. (Ariat covers the return postage if you're just switching sizes.) The medium (short height) worked perfectly.



So if you're at the upper end of the calf measurement for the small size, I would recommend going up one size in the calf, and if needed order the shorter height to keep the correct fit. (The height seems to run true to the size table.)



These half chaps WILL fit over the Ariat Terrain boots (at least my mediums do - for you endurance riders out there) though you do have to tug everything pretty snug down by the boot the first few times. It gets easier as they break in to your fit.



These are EXCELLENT half-chaps and (at least the ones made a decade ago) have great durability.
