Great Boots! I loved theses boots from the moment I put them on! They are very comfortable and roomy. I have a hard time finding tall boots because my calfs are so skinny but, theses fit perfect! I love Ariat Volant I have the third pair of this boot in 7 months. The first pair got ripped seams after 2 months and the second after 5 months. Insisted to get a new third pair because I love the feel an wear of those boots. They are roomy enough for wide feet and there is just the right combination of height and width for my calves. No break in necessary at all - no sore skin, no blisters. The sole is so comfortable. I am an older rider and the boots do not get abused. No barn chores for me - expept grooming my horse and riding dressage 3-5 days a week. LOVE I absolutely love these boots. I was originally told that they don't need to be "broken in", well thats a lie because they do just like any other pair of tall boots. Once they are broken in though they're amazing. I love the easy zip up and just the overal look of them. I get compliments all the time. The only downfall is if you're competing in the hunter or eq do not get these to show in because with eq you most likely wouldn't place first. I only do jumpers so they work for me. Super fit and awesome style I am 5'10" and I purchased the Volans for polo. I ordered the tall boots with the red zipper, in full calf because of the very useful reviews written here -- my boots fit perfectly. I love them. They require no breaking in at all. But although my calves are long and slim, I needed the full calf boots because these run a bit on the slim side, in terms of how they fit the calf. I have received numerous compliments on them, from both horse people and people who just find them to be attractive boots. So you'll enjoy wearing them while riding because of the stability and comfort. And you'll enjoy wearing them because of the style. Enjoy! Excellent boots - can't find any faults. I bought these boots for every-day use, with the perk that you could show in them if needed. I ride Jumpers. They broke in after about 2-3 rides. The best feature is the grippy leather on the inside of the boot. The footbed is great, too -- none of the slipping I've read in other reviews. I chose these over the ones with the zipper in the front because I was worried those might flex less, and indeed these don't have any problems bending with your heels down. Perfection!!! I was bit concerned about the price and knew my husband would rip me a new one when I got home from purchasing them... but MAN was it worth the lashing! I use to live by Mountain Horse tall boots for my schooling and every day use but these boots have blown me away! No break in time, more comfortable than even my running shoes and simply a beautiful design. I can grip my horses so easily and my leg position continues to improve! The compliments are endless! I already want another pair! I am pretty traditional when it comes to my attire as I ride hunters but I am in love! Great Boots!! but - You don't make them for men? Got these boots for my wife and she loves them! I love them too, I love them so much I want a pair, but Ariat says they don't make, nor do they have plans to ever make these boots for men, the Rep then told me that Ariat is little by little eliminating thier mens product lines - they only carry two style tall boots, and dont even have dressage boots. Not a sturdy shoe. I bought these boots less than a year ago and absolutely loved them. They were comfortable enough to do my barn chores in and I didnt have to change my boots to ride. I wear them 5 days a week (in the warmer months only) and they go through about 5 rides a day and minor barn chores. The leather covering the top of my foot has ripped at the seams and is turning up. After spending this amount of money on these boots I expected that they would at least hold up a full year! This is the first pair of ariat boots I have purchased and I can say I will not purchase from them again. I have recommended these boots to clients and now I am regretting it. Just Amazing! I got a pair, and i'm gonna a new one, when the first one is dead. I only good surprise about it, and one of my friends tryed them on, and ride with them. She have bad knees, and a bit diffencult to walk after ride her horse. But she didn't have the problem after trying these!! Now My Trainer Wants a Pair After I had saved up enough money to buy a pair (high school student on a budget), my mom and I had to drive an hour down to Calabasas Saddlery to get them, as I like to try on tall boots before I buy, and why the local tack shops that carry Ariat didn't sell them, I will never know. We decided to get them from Calabasas because we had to take my dressage saddle down there for repairs, as no one in Ventura repairs English tack. Confused After reading about the volants and seeing the advertising I went to three tack stores which carry ariat . None of three had any is stock and two told me they sent them back. So I gave up on them until 4 weeks ago at WEF in Wellington I came across a both that had them. Awesome Boots These are possibly the most comfortable boots, that I've ever owned. They provide excellent ankle support (which I am in dire need of) and fit perfectly. I fell in love with the futuristic styling, but I'm even more in love with them because I can wear them for hours without my feet getting sore. Good choice for schooling and hacking I love these boots. They remind me of Italian driving shoes. They are form fitting, comfortable, and flexible. They give more support than 1/2 chaps. Beautiful and Strong!! My horse spooked and jumped onto the front of my new Volante boots and, of course, my toes. I took the boots off right away. Considering the force of the blow, I was surprised that there was very little bruising and a little skin cut. After some quick first aid, we took a look at the boot. It had two tiny dents, otherwise it appeared just the same. I know that if I had been wearing one of my other pairs of boots, I would have sustained serious damage to my toes. LOVE the Volants I’ll be the first to admit...I was a bit worried about the Volants at first. They look so futuristic and I am pretty traditional when it comes to my riding attire. Fast forward 6 months after my purchase and I won’t ride in anything else. I LOVE them! I even joke to my friends that my leg wouldn’t be as nice if I weren’t riding in my Volants! The calf leather grips my saddle fantastically and helps to keep my lower leg steady. The boot itself is so comfortable I could wear them all day! Great Support !! First, this is the only boot that fits my muscular calves. The zipper is durable and needs to be as the stretch material on the side of the boot makes for a snug fit. The ride is perfect as my leg naturally goes correct with this boot and increases my confidence. TRY THEM ON!!! I was at a show, looking for a new pair of paddock boots. On a whim, I tried on the Volant. They were like butter. Perfect fit, soft, felt like you were walking on air. Now I've been using them to ride in. I ride in California and it is always some what hot here. These boots breathe. I prefer wearing these to wearing paddock boots with half chaps because they're more secure, breathe better, and fit better.

price issues They look outstanding, highly functional, and comfortable. I want a pair, but I agree with the other reviewer, $500 is way too high of a price tag. Bring it down to $200 and these will sell like hot cakes!

Colours Also, you should offer another contrast colour. The red looks amazing, but not for me. Try making it with purple contrasting as well! Then I would buy a pair for sure.
