Rated 5 out of 5 by Wendy Prendergast from Saved my husband's foot! I bought my husband these boots for Christmas. He loved them. Normally he needs orthodics in his boots and shoes, butnot with these. Hethinkstheyarethe bestboots ever.A couple of days ago he was cutting upfirewood with his chainsaw. He slipped and cut a slice right through the top of this boot. It barely knicked his skin on the top of his foot. He knows that if he had not been wearing these boots, he would have lost his foot and possibly his life. Any other footware he owns would not have protected the way these did. He is heart broken that he ruined his boots but very happy to still have his foot. Thank you for your excellent construction and comfort!

Rated 3 out of 5 by ChrisLE from Decent boot. That being said, I am not a pro at wearing boots. I only wear them for work in the oil and gas industry. My job isn't that of a rig hand but I do walk for work about 3 miles a day. I've had my boots for about 5 months and the upper rubber on the sole is cracking where the boot bends at the toe on both. Also, the mid cushion at the same area is separating from the top and bottom. I really liked these boots, but the way I work I need to have a stronger sole construction with the same level of comfort. I know, I can't have my cake and eat it too, but one can dream.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Boromadness from Amazing Quality Owned these boots for a year and a half. I've put them through heck and back. Worn them just about everyday. Working on the farm. Walking in mud, sawdust, concrete, dirt, slinging hay. From 20 degrees to 105 they're the most comfortable I have owned. I've walked 20+ miles in these boots in a day and I am a flat footed guy. Had no pains or aches in my feet afterward. Heck they even shine up nice if you're going out. I just replaced these today with the waterproof version. They still have plenty of life left in them and I will continue to wear them along with my new pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Luke from Great Feeling Boot I first ordered this boot in a wide, which was a rookie mistake. Once you wear these boots for the first couple of daysthey tend to break in agood bit. Iexchanged them fora medium width and after a few days they felt amazing. This boot is one of the most comfortable boots I have had in a long time and working in shoe sales I have had the opportunity to try on many different brands and styles. The ATS Max sole on these boots is worth the little bit extra that they cost.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Joey from Good styling and comfortable but poor stitching I find these boots run a little big. I usually wear a 10.5 but the 9.5 fit just fine. They felt great after only a couple days of break-in. I work in a machine shop so I'm walking on concrete and metal shavings all day and the soles have held up pretty good. My only complaint is the stitching. About one year after purchase, they started splitting on the outside of the boots, right behind the balls of my feet where the boots bends when I kneel down. If they would reinforce those kinds of stress points I would rate these boots 5 stars all day long.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Krodawg from comfortable but weak construction I tried these boots on in the store and they were very comfortable, it's almost like they were broken in already. The soals really are great for work on hard surfaces and jumping on and off trailers, equipment etc. Sadly, less than a week after purchasing them, I shoveled for about 4 hours and the right heel walked over to the point that they were no longer wearable. Great boots, but I think that the extra comfort and shock absorbsion in the heels comes at a price to the strength of the boot. If you are going to work these boots really hard I would not recommend buying--I've owned other Ariats in the past and I could not get them to break down after years of use, I will end up grabbing my old reliable Quickdraws out of the closet and using Dr. Scholls with them for added comfort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jason from Hard working boot, 12+ hrs daily I work/live on a family farm. I'm up early and to bed late. I'm in my Ariat Workhog boots 12+ hours a day. Whether caring for goats, chickens, cleaning outstalls, tractor, barn maintenance, cutting firewood, mucking out stalls, installing a new fence line - doesn't matter - the boots are super comfortable, great traction, keep me dry and working all day. No complaints here! Awesome boot! Last pair of Ariats lasted many years and they were NOT work boots.

Rated 1 out of 5 by troy from Worst boots i've ever owned or heard about. Wanted these boots from the moment I saw them, looked great, looked tough, but just four hours into my first shift wearing them at work, the sole of the boot has completely separated on the left boot, the right boot has the beginnings of heading the same direction, first and last Ariat product I will ever purchase.
